PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient terminal operation by diversifying operations of a mouse, in a terminal operation using a keyboard and the mouse, to reduce the frequency of regrasping the mouse, whereas alternate operation of the keyboard and the mouse is frequently required, which lowers the efficiency in work. SOLUTION: This mouse pad comprises a key switch which can be pressed by the tip of the mouse as the mouse is grasped, a means for detecting the state of the key switch, and a communication control means for transmitting the detected data to a PC (Personal Computer) or peripheral equipment.
