PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clinometer of which the degree of freedom mounting angles is enhanced by employing a stabilizing means capable of stabilizing its seated state in either the lengthwise and the crosswise directions, or a general-purpose fixing means capable of fixing it, and which can reduce the cost by standardizing products so that one kind can also be used for other applications. SOLUTION: The clinometers (1), (2), (10) and (13) which are installed on an object to be measured and measure the slope angles of the object to be measured, has the stabilizing means which stabilizes a first arrangement (xz), where a slope direction (α) can be measured in the case two-dimensional coordinate axes (X), (Z) included in a first vertical plane are set as reference axes; and a second arrangement (yz) where a slope direction (β) can be measured in the case two-dimensional coordinate axes (Y), (Z) included in a second vertical plane perpendicular to the first vertical plane are set as the standard axes, in a three-dimensional space, where a coordinate axis (Z) in the direction of gravitational force is added to two-dimensional coordinate axes (X), (Y) which are orthogonal to each other in a horizontal plane.
