PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric rice cooker provided with an appropriate control mode for easily fermenting dough. SOLUTION: The electric rice cooker is provided with a temperature sensor for detecting the temperature of an inner pot, a control means for controlling the energizing of the heating means of the inner pot according to the detection temperature of the temperature sensor, and an operation part including a key for selecting a rice cooking mode or a bread fermentation mode and a key for starting the execution of the rice cooking mode or the bread fermentation mode. The control means waits the inner pot to cool without energizing the heating means when the detection temperature is higher than a first set temperature when the rice cooking mode is selected and the execution is started, and waits the inner pot to cool without energizing the heating means when the detection temperature is higher than a second set temperature when the bread fermentation mode is selected and the execution is started.
