<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a cell, for example, a mesenchymal cell of bone, cartilage, skeletal muscle or lipid and a multi-potent cell that is capable of differentiating into a plurality of cells, for example, vascular endothelial cell, cardiac muscle cell or nerve cell in a necessary and sufficient amount low-invasively, simply and stably with no problem of a tissue rejection reaction when transplantation, and to provide a therapeutic agent/method by using the cell as an active ingredient. <P>SOLUTION: Peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) are cultured on an plastic plate coated with fibronectin for 7-10 days. The cell group having fibroblasts-like appearance originates from the circulating CD14+ monocyte and has unique pheno type, CD14+, CD45+, CD34+ I type collagen. When the cell is cultured under specific conditions, it differentiates into, for example, mesenchymal cell of bone, cartilage, skeletal muscle or lipid and the multi-potent cell that is capable of differentiating into the plurality of cells, for example, vascular endothelial cell, cardiac muscle cell or nerve cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
