DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ESTIMATING AIR-CONDUCTED SOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the quality of a sound picked up by a bone conduction microphone into almost that of a natural sound.

SOLUTION: A sample of an air-conducted sound and a sample of a bone-conducted sound are picked up to find the long-time spectrum of each sound. The absolute value of the long-time spectrum of the sample of the air-conducted sound is divided by the absolute value of the long-time spectrum of the sample of the bone-conducted sound to derive and store a value as a filter function. A bone-conducted sound is picked up, its frequency characteristic is converted according to the stored filter function, and is then outputted.
