PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely bind a material to be cut in cutting the material to be cut by a rotary blade, so that the material to be cut is cut to have a fine cut end face. SOLUTION: In this cutting machine, with a material 3 to be cut having a circular section such as a metallic rod held between a pair of stock vices 4a, 4b, the material 3 to be cut is cut by the blade 6 entering from groove-like gaps 4a", 4b" formed in the central parts in the cross direction of the paired vices 4a, 4b and rotating. In the paired vices 4a, 4b, the material 3 to be cut is held in the diametral direction between the V-shaped recessed part 4a' of the tip of one vice 4a and the V-shaped projecting part 4b' of the tip of the other vice 4b to be supported on three points on both sides of the gaps 4a", 4b", respectively.
