PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a discharge port from being clogged with fibrous garbage in a compression processor for the garbage in which dehydration processing of the garbage is performed by using a screw dehydrator. SOLUTION: The compression processor for the garbage is provided with a screen cylinder 5, which surrounds a screw 3 for transferring the garbage and which is provided with a large number of dewatering holes, a pressing lid 6 mounted to the discharge port 7 of the screen cylinder with a hinge 8, and a spring 12 which presses the pressing lid 6 to the discharge port 7 of the screen cylinder with prescribed pressing force. A lid opening device 20, which forcibly separates and opens the pressing lid 6 from the discharge port 7 of the screen cylinder against the spring 12, is provided.
