摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection apparatus which can suck in the liquid at the nozzle opening by use of a slidable-rotor built-in positive displacement pump which is readily designed optimally. SOLUTION: The ink ejection apparatus is equipped with a head member having a nozzle opening and a liquid ejection means for ejecting the liquid at the nozzle opening, a main control member for driving the liquid ejection means based on the discharge data, and a cap member which can be relatively moved so as to be abut on or detached from the head member. A suction channel is formed in the cap member, and a slidable-rotor built-in positive displacement pump is provided by the suction channel. Even if a ventilation mechanism of the cap member is abut on the head member, the inside of the cap member can be ventilate to the room air. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
