PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and surely select a desired program. SOLUTION: EPG (Electronic Program Guide) data of a program to be received via a satellite and EPG data of a program to be transmitted via a ground wave are respectively received and converted into EPG data of an integrated format. The EPG data converted into the data of the integrated format are defined as EPG data extracted on the basis of predetermined local information, for example. The integrated EPG data are outputted to a TV receiver and displayed. The present invention can be applied to an apparatus for processing EPG data from a plurality of different broadcast systems.
