<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible heat sensitive recording medium which enhances light resistance and durability and has no occurrence of hitting marks on the recording medium by repeated uses. <P>SOLUTION: The reversible thermal recording medium has, at least, a reversible thermal recording layer comprising a reversible thermal composition using an electron-donating coloring compound and an electron-accepting compound on a support and capable of forming a relatively color-developed condition by a difference in heating temperatures and/or cooling speeds after heating, and has a protective layer. The reversible heat sensitive recording layer or an upper layer above the recording layer contains a polymer having a structure to absorb ultraviolet rays and a hydroxy group to react with an isocyanate compound, or an ultraviolet ray absorbing polymer having a hydroxy group value of not less than 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
