PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-beam image forming apparatus which enhances image quality by adjusting exposure energy of each laser light source when an image is formed by the laser light sources. SOLUTION: In a digital copying unit 1, a laser beam is emitted by individually driving two semiconductor lasers in a printer 30, and an electrostatic latent image is formed by applying the laser beam onto a photoreceptor drum, so that the image can be formed. In this case, the semiconductor laser is driven in such a manner that the exposure energy of each semiconductor laser is fluctuated by the prescribed mount of fluctuation from the level of the ordinary exposure energy of the semiconductor laser. Thus, differences among the light quantities of the semiconductor lasers can be absorbed, and the image quality can be enhanced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
