PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide desired deceleration by switching to an all-cylinder operation when it is determined that the deceleration is requested by a travel control means, in a cylinder-resting internal combustion engine which is equipped with a cylinder-resting control means switching between the all-cylinder operation and a cylinder cut-off operation, and a travel control means which executes the travel control such as constant speed travel control traveling at the target vehicle speed. SOLUTION: It is determined (S200, S204 to S212, and S216 to S224) whether or not the deceleration is requested by the travel control means, and in the affirmative case, it is switched to the all-cylinder operation (S214). When it is determined that the deceleration is not requested after the engine operation is switched to the all-cylinder operation, it is returned (S200, S204, S206, S202) to the cylinder cut-off operation.
