<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric actuator, driven body, timepiece, liquid discharger, and driving device, wherein the wear resistance and durability can be enhanced. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric element 52 is bonded to both faces of a reinforcement plate 51, a projection 511 is formed integrally on the reinforcing plate 51, and the projection 511 is abutted against a recess 43, formed in the side face of a ring 4A of a rotor 4. When a voltage is applied to between the piezoelectric element 52 and the reinforcement plate 51, the projection 511 describes elliptical orbits and rotationally drives the rotor 4. Since the ring 4A is made of a porous carbon material, the advantages that a relatively high coefficient of friction can be obtained with stability over a long time; the wear resistance of the ring 4A can be enhanced; and the durability of the piezoelectric actuator can be enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
