PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording medium conveyance device capable of reducing sucking sound caused when conveying a recording medium while sucking it and to provide a recorder provided with the recording medium conveyance device. SOLUTION: Chamfered parts 126a, 126b are provided in at least either of an air inlet part 124a and an air outlet part 124b of a suction hole 124 formed on a recording medium conveyance face. Since peeling of swirl of air stream generated in the air inlet part and the air outlet part of the suction hole can be almost prevented by forming the chamfered parts in this way, the occurrence of sucking sound due to periodic fluctuation of peeling swirl can be reduced.
