TARGET GENE OF ANTI-CANCER DRUGS DETECTED BY USING GENE DELETED MUTANT STRAIN AND SCREENING KIT FOR ANTI-CANCER DRUGS

PURPOSE: A target gene of anti-cancer drugs detected by using gene deleted mutant strain and a screening kit for anti-cancer drugs are provided, thereby easily detecting the target gene of anti-cancer drugs, and easily screening novel anti-cancer drugs using anti-cancer drug sensitive gene deleted heterozygote mutant strain. CONSTITUTION: The target gene of anti-cancer drugs is selected from genes consisting of GenBank #AL031324(Expasy #094244), GenBank #AL033127(Expasy #CAA21865), GenBank #AL109734(Expasy #CAA20136), GenBank #Z99753(Expasy #Q09191), GenBank #AL022299(Expasy #059679), GenBank #Z68198(Expasy #Q10101), GenBank #Z99164(Expasy #Q10279), GenBank #Z98559(Expasy #P40231), GenBank #AL163071, GenBank #Z68887(Expasy #Q10134), GenBank #AL031907(Expasy #074858) and GenBank #Z95395(Expasy #P05933) which are reactive to platinum anti-cancer drugs such as cisplatin or its derivatives. The screening kit for anti-cancer drugs comprises target gene deleted heterozygote mutant fission yeast. A method for screening anti-cancer drug candidates comprises the steps of: (1) culturing the mutant fission yeast in a medium containing anti-cancer drug candidates; and (2) comparing the growth of the mutant fission yeast with that of natural yeast and selecting the target gene deleted heterozygote mutant fission yeast showing reduced growth rate.
