PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing device, reinforcing frame members opposite to each other and reinforcing the frame member itself by a simple structure. SOLUTION: A pair of frame members 2 substantially parallel to each other are provided with a pair of pedestal parts 20 located on opposite side to the confronting side of the frame member 2 on a diagonal line of a plane 4 of structure, and both end parts of a brace 10 are held by the pedestal parts 20, whereby even if stress from the outside is applied, tensile stress works on the brace 10 so that the pedestal parts 20 will not be shifted. Further, a holder 21 is provided with a corner reinforcing part 25 abutting on an adjacent surface 2B of the frame member 2 adjacent to the abutting surface 2A between the holder 21 and the frame member 2, whereby the stress applied from the brace 10 can be dispersed to the holder 21 and the corner reinforcing part 25 to protect the corner part of the frame member 2 and make the holder 21 itself thinner. Further, the compressive force can be passively applied to the frame member 2 by the holder 21 and the corner reinforcing part 25 to reinforce the frame member 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
