PURPOSE: A multimedia apparatus installed on a console box for a vehicle is provided to prevent passengers from being damaged by the multimedia apparatus in a vehicle crash. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia apparatus installed on a console box(100) is composed of a console box cover(200), and a main frame(300) mounted to the console box cover. The console box cover includes a cover body having a handle, and a cover hole formed at one side of the cover body. The main frame includes a base fixed to the cover body and having a rack gear, a carrier, and a display unit(330). The carrier includes a carrier body having a pair of pinion gear engaged with the rack gear, a support body coupled to the carrier body.
