<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a cool storage or heat storage material which enables maintenance of articles in a predetermined temperature range required. <P>SOLUTION: This cool storage or heat storage material is obtained by mixing a plurality of polyethylene glycols having different temperatures in freezing points from each other and an average molecular weight of 200-20,000 as the major component at a mixing ratio so as for at least two polyethylene glycols having different temperatures in freezing points from each other to have the freezing point of a predetermined temperature and housing the resulting mixture in a water-impermeable bag to seal it, and by rendering the mixture thus housed and sealed in a solidified state and placing it together with a necessary article in an insulating container for use, the article can be maintained for a long time in the predetermined temperature range required by the article due to the latent heat of the mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
