PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front end for broadcast reception extensively complying with required functions and performance. SOLUTION: The front end for the broadcast reception comprises: an AGC control voltage generation section (a demodulation IC 17, a pull-up resistor 20, a low-pass filter 21) generating an AGC control voltage V<SB>AGC</SB>complying with input signal level; an AGC sensitivity correction circuit 22 correcting a variation rate (AGC sensitivity) with respect to the input signal level of the AGC control voltage V<SB>AGC</SB>outputted from the AGC control voltage generation section; and an AGC control circuit 15 controlling the total gain of the front end based on the AGC control voltage outputted from the AGC sensitivity correction circuit 22.
