PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a client terminal where a Web browser is operating to effectively utilize a limited number of resources (logical units) for terminal connection with which a host computer is provided when the client terminal uses the host computer through a Web server. SOLUTION: When receiving a processing request from a client terminal 1-k(1≤k≤n), a Web server 3 establishes connection between a host computer 7 and the Web server 3 itself by using an unused instance 34-1 and a logical unit 71-1, and transmits the processing request through the connection to the host computer 7. The host computer 7 executes processing corresponding to the processing request, and returns the processing result through the connection to the Web server 3. Thus, the Web server 3 liberates the connection, and returns the processing result to a client terminal 1-k being the request origin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
