PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin moisturizing composition imparting moisture to the skin without leaving sticky feeling. SOLUTION: Ths skin moisturizing composition comprises an acid ester of an alkoxylated aliphatic alcohol expressed by formula (I) [wherein B expresses a 0-10C alkylene which may be saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted, or a group expressed by formula 2 (wherein R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>express each a 10-22C aliphatic alcohol which may be the same or different, saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted; x expresses 0-40; y expresses 0-30; the sum of all x and y is at least 6)] and at least one skin softening agent.
