PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forceps uplifting device of an endoscope capable of correctly turning the tip of a treatment instrument of various types with different diameters in cross section to a desired direction. SOLUTION: A forceps uplifting table storage recess, with which the tip of an instrument inserting tube inserted into an insertion part of the endoscope communicates, and an instrument projecting hole connected to the storage recess are formed at the tip of the insertion part, and a forceps uplifting table with a mounting surface along the instrument inserted into the tube is pivotally attached inside the forceps uplifting table storage recess. In the forceps uplifting device of the endoscope, the direction of projection of the instrument from the instrument projection hole is changed by turning the forceps uplifting table around the rotation shaft by the remote control. In the forceps uplifting device, a wide engagement groove located on the rotation shaft side and a narrow engagement groove whose width is narrower than the wide engagement groove, located on a free end side, are formed on the mounting surface of the forceps uplifting table.
