PURPOSE: A composition containing the extract of Ulmi Radicis Cortex, Rehmanniae Rhizoma and Herba Houttuyniae as a main component is provided. The composition removes effete matters from the body, inhibits alopecia when applied to skin and improves blood circulation and is thus useful in reducing or eliminating fatigue. CONSTITUTION: The composition for improvement of blood circulation and removal of effete matter from the body contains 40 to 60% by weight of Ulmi Radicis Cortex extract, 20 to 40% by weight of Rehmanniae Rhizoma extract and 10 to 30% by weight of Herba Houttuyniae extract as a main material and Fructus Ponciri, Plantaginis Semen and Saururus chinensis as an auxiliary material. The composition is added with an additive such as stabilizers, preservatives or suspending agents and then gelled with sesame oil, casein and maltodextrin.
