<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium which enables rewriting or super-resolution readout more many times than ever before while maintaining good recording/reproduction characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This information recording medium is characterized in that Cr and at least one element X or B, X being selected from the group of Cr, Ag, Ba, Co, Ni, Pt, Si, Sr, Au, Cd, Cu, Li, Mo, Mn, Zn, Al, Fe, Pb, Na, Cs, Ga, Pd, Bi, Sn, Ti, V, In and lanthanoid elements, are added to an Sb-Te-Ge-based or Sb-Te-In-based phase-change type recording film 3 or thin film for super-resolution readout. The information recording medium is also characterized in that a component 3b with a higher melting point than that of a phase-change component 3a is deposited in the recording film 3 or the thin film for super-resolution readout, so as to prevent the flow/segregation of the film in recording/erasing and super-resolution readout. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
