PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof construction method of a building, improving workability to a raised surface or complicated part of a building, and preventing warping and separation at a lap part due to a rolling tendency of an asphalt waterproof sheet to be suitable for application to a roof or the like. SOLUTION: The asphalt waterproof sheet 2 is composed of an asphalt waterproofing film layer 2a and a chip layer 2b, and the chip layer 2b is stuck to the waterproof bed surface of the building 1 to form a waterpoofing layer. A cationic polymer cement mortar 3 is interposed between the waterproof bed surface 1a of the building 1 and the chip layer 2b. The chip layer 2b is composed of straight chips.
