PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid epoxy resin composition excellent in flowability of a coating, glossiness of a coating film, mechanical characteristics and the like, and having satisfactory anticorrosion properties even in the cold curing, and to provide a resin composition for a powder coating, using the epoxy composition. SOLUTION: The epoxy resin composition and the composition for a powder coating are both characterized by containing (A) a solid epoxy resin containing the residue of bis(hydroxyphenyl)poly(oxyphenylene) (a1) in the skeleton and (B) a curing agent.
