摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate blank space belonging to none of scheduled operation mode regions in response to car speed, required driving force, and a battery accumulation state, and to avoid reduction of power performance at a starting time and at travelling time to a highway. <P>SOLUTION: An EV mode region, an EV-LB mode region, an EIVT mode region, and an EIVT-LB mode region are determined in a favorite region according to the car speed VSP, the required driving force F, and the battery accumulation state SOC. When the four regions are shown in a lump on the two-dimensional coordinate of the car speed VSP and the required driving force F, a blank region (an extended EIVT-LB mode region) belonging to none of the operation modes occurs between the EV-LB mode region and the EIVT-LB mode region, and in a place of VSP<VSP2 and F&ge;F1. The EIVT-LB mode region is extended in the blank region to set the extended EIVT-LB mode region, and the blank region is eliminated to eliminate reduction of acceleration performance. An engine clutch is slip-connected to match with the low car speed in the extended EIVT-LB mode region, and the EIVT-LB mode is warranted in the extended EIVT-LB mode region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
