<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna of a mobile phone and a switching method thereof whereby apprehension of the effect of an electromagnetic wave from the antenna on a human body is wiped out at a voice communication and the transmission/reception efficiency of the antenna is not deteriorated when browsing a WEB page. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile phone with a voice communication function and an Internet access function is provided with first and second antennas 107, 108 respectively arranged at an upper end and a lower end of the mobile phone; antenna changeover switches 208, 210 for switching the first and second antennas to carry out transmission; a voice communication detection section 201A for detecting the voice communication; a voice flag storage section 205A for storing a voice flag when the voice communication detection section detects the voice communication; a transmission occurrence detection section 204A for detecting data transmission; and an antenna switching section 204B for controlling the antenna changeover switches to select the second antenna when the transmission is detected and the voice flag is set and to select the first antenna when no voice flag is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
