PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic culture apparatus facilitating putting-in and taking-out of a culture container while reducing the decrease of cleanliness in a culture chamber. SOLUTION: The automatic culture apparatus 1 includes the culture chamber 4 storing the culture container 3 storing cells so as to be taken in and out, and culturing the cells while keeping prescribed culture conditions, a treating part S2 for carrying out a prescribed treatment of the cells stored in the culture container 3, and a conveying mechanism 5 and 9 for conveying the culture container 3 between the culture chamber 4 and the treating part S2. A door 4a for opening and closing the culture chamber 4 is installed in the culture chamber 4, and whole moving mechanisms 5a to 5d for taking in and out the culture containers 3 so as to be freely retracted to the outside of the culture chamber 4.
