PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the positioning accuracy of a ring member by removing backlash between an angle detection gear and a gear to be driven by an energizing means even in a state where the backlash occurs between the angle detection gear and the gear to be driven. SOLUTION: In the lens device 10, the ring member 16 is turnably provided on a lens barrel 14 and also the gear to be driven 18 provided on the ring member 16 is turned by a driving gear 20 driven by a motor, whereby the ring member 16 is turned with respect to the lens barrel. The device 10 is provided with the angle detection gear 22 having nearly the same shape as the gear 20 concentrically with the gear 20 so as to be meshed with the gear 18, and also the gear 22 is coupled with an angle detection means. Then, it is provided with the energizing means 28 energizing the gears 22 and 20 in a rotating direction between the gears 22 and 20, so that the backlash between the gears 22 and 18 is removed.
