PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera apparatus for displaying a moving image without lowering a frame rate in a camera-through state. SOLUTION: A digital camera apparatus 1 includes a camera 10 for continuously outputting image data at a fixed speed picture by picture as digital data, a capture P 11 for writing the image data captured from the camera 10 into a memory 15, an image conversion P 12 for converting a format of the image data, the memory 15 and an LCD 14 for reading and displaying the image data captured into the memory 15, does not include an optical finder and confirms an object to be photographed on the LCD 14 before photographing. In such a camera apparatus, the condition of the number of pixels in one picture of image data outputted from the camera at the fixed speed≥the number of pixels in an image display area of the LCD > the number of pixels in the image data to be displayed on the LCD is fulfilled and the condition of the number of pixels in the image data to be displayed on the LCD > the number of pixels in image data to be transferred between capture or image conversion and the memory is fulfilled.
