PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaustive analysis means of a phosphate compound for clarifying a comprehensive vision of metabolism of a phosphate in a plant as a metabolic state of a sugar phosphate in a sample obtained from the higher plant does not change. SOLUTION: In a method, the sugar phosphate in the sample is measured by an ion chromatography method after the sample is collected from the higher plant and quickly freeze-dried and enzyme activity is stopped by a thermal process. The sample for analyzing a metabolic product of the higher plant derived from the method is manufactured. The invention includes an analysis method by liquid chromatography using a titanium oxide as a column filler or a filler containing it and a strong alkali solution, preferably a sodium hydroxide solution as an elution agent and also includes the elution agent for the method.
