PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the influence of a leakage magnetic flux or the like by disposing a rectifying yoke between signal yokes, and to provide the detection signal with an approximately linear output characteristic. SOLUTION: The signal yokes 10 and 11, whose areas facing to a magnet 9 are changed according to the rotational angleθthereof, are provided around the magnet 9. When the magnet 9 is rotated, the magnetic field of the signal yokes 10 and 11 is detected as the rotational angleθby a Hall element 12. The rectifying yokes 16 and 17 interconnected by a magnetic connection plate 18 are provided between the signal yokes 10 and 11. Accordingly, the leakage magnetic flux generated from the magnet 9 at the part not facing to the signal yokes 10 and 11 can be absorbed in the rectifying yokes 16 and 17, and the leakage magnetic flux passes through the signal yokes 10 and 11, thereby preventing the generation of the distortion, the error, and so forth in the output characteristic of the detection signal, and obtaining the approximately linear output characteristic.
