<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inverter controller for an LCD (liquid crystal display) panel display accompanied with an automatic luminance control circuit. <P>SOLUTION: In one illustrative implementation form, the controller is provided with a look-up table, which receives signals showing ambient light around the LCD panel and generate signals corresponding to a required panel luminance. The signals corresponding to the required panel luminance is next used as a threshold signals in a conventional feed-back inverter topology supplying power to a lamp related to the LCD panel. In another illustrative form, a master controller is provided. The master controller is equipped with a light sensor controller for polling a slave light sensor generating signals showing the ambient light around the LCD panel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
