LOCATING METHOD FOR ACCIDENT POINT OF OIL-FILLED POWER CABLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locating method for an earth fault accident point, appropriate for an oil-filled power cable in which an insulating oil is packed.

SOLUTION: The earth-fault accident point of an oil-filled power cable in which an insulating oil is packed is located by an arrival time lag when measurement is performed at two or more points away from pressure fluctuation of the insulating oil. In particular, the earth fault accident point of the oil-filled power cable is located by the arrival time lag of pressure waves metered with a pressure sensor or the like provided at two or more points, away from each other. The pressure wave is metered at two or more points if the propagation speed of the pressure wave propagated in the oil-filled power cable is known, while it is metered at three or more points if it is not known.
