Treating residual waste, comprising separating the biological degradable material from inert matter, mashing up the waste, adding it to a rotting container where it rots until the main part of the cellular structure decomposes, separating off the floating material incorporating gas bubbles and removing concentrated inert matter at the bottom, is new. An independent claim is also included for a device for treating waste, comprising: (a) a stirrer vessel with slow clearing stirrer; (b) inlet opening for a dissolving fluid; (c) outlet for the sludge; and (d) device for removing floating layer.
