PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shape data generating method for reducing man-hour by easily generating shape data for analyzing an FEM in a short time. SOLUTION: The shape data generating method includes processes for: generating mesh data for expressing a design shape by mesh (step S2) from design shape data of an inputted analysis object (step S1); selecting a correction object node to be corrected from a plurality of nodes constituting the mesh (step 3); a process for measuring the finish shape of the analysis object (step S4); calculating a displacement magnitude between the position of a measured measurement point and the position of the correction object node corresponding to the measurement point (steps S5, S6); and correcting the position of the correction object node, based on the calculated displacement magnitude, so as to generate mesh data in the finish shape of the analysis object from the design shape mesh data (step S7).
