PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily monitoring a task to be performed by a computer system 3. SOLUTION: This task monitoring system is provided with a management computer 1, a first computer system 3, a second computer system 5, a third computer system 7 and a machine 9 for a manager. Those respective computer systems 3, 5, and 7 are connected through a wide area network 11 to the management computer 1. A machine 9 for management is connected through the Internet 13 to the management computer 1. When data processing is performed by the first computer system 3, a log file associated with the data processing is prepared. This log file is transmitted through the wide area network 11 to the management computer 1.
