PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing various alkoxysilane compounds in high selectivity and yield by transesterification reaction at high reaction rate in a state enabling easy separation of a catalyst after the reaction. SOLUTION: The method for the production of an alkoxysilane comprises the transesterification reaction of a starting alkoxysilane with a hydroxy compound by using a catalyst consisting of an anion exchange resin having a quaternary salt as an active point.
