<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device having a structure of alleviating a bad influence of defects generated by a constitution of an activated organic layer and the electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: A compound electrode (40) for organic electronic devices (10) consists of a thin first layer (42) of a first electrically conducting material and a second electrically conducting material arranged on the first layer. In one embodiment, the second conductive material is formed into a plurality of elongated members (44). In another embodiment, the second material is formed into a second layer (46). The elongated members or the second layer has a thickness larger than that of the first layer. The second layer is separated from the first layer by a conducting material having a conductivity less than that of a material of at least the first layer. The compound electrode can mitigate adverse effects of defects, such as short circuits in the construction of the organic electronic devices, and can be included in light-emitting devices or photovoltaic devices. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
