PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radar device equipped with a detection function of a modulation width abnormality. SOLUTION: The distance r<SB>t2</SB>at the time t<SB>2</SB>is calculated from a measurement value R<SB>t1</SB>of the distance at the time t<SB>1</SB>, a measurement value V<SB>t1</SB>of relative speed, and the elapsed time t<SB>2</SB>-t<SB>1</SB>(step 1,000), and the difference with an actual measurement value R<SB>t2</SB>is compared with a threshold C<SB>1</SB>(step 1,002).
