PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the projection of a wall-hung type water heater to a room side, to have a wide space between a lower part of the water heater and a floor to install a washing machine and the like at the lower part of the water heater. SOLUTION: A first hot water supply connection port 33, a first water supply connection port 47, and a fuel connection port are formed on a side face inside of the water heater 2, and a hot water supply pipe 115, a water supply pipe 103, and a fuel supply pipe 117 are connected thereto, whereby the pipes can be easily exposed to the outside of a wall 1, and the piping for the water heater 2 can be performed in a detouring state. A draining/combination tap 121 is mounted on a draining/second hot water supply connection port 35 and a draining/second water supply connection port 41 at the lower part of the water heater 2 without using a valve 53. Further a draining/combination tap 121 is integrally mounted at the lower part of the water heater 2 in advance. A third hot water supply connection port 39, a third water supply connection port 43 and a second fuel connection port 49 are formed on a side face at an opposite side of the water heater 2, and the unnecessary connection ports are closed, so that a degree of freedom in arranging the connected hot water supply pipe 115 and water supply pipe 103 can be increased.
