PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel pump for a vehicular engine capable of protecting a high pressure fuel pump when the high pressure fuel pump is inclined in a vehicle rear side. SOLUTION: In the fuel pump which is provided with the high pressure fuel pump 4 arranged on an end part of a cam shaft Ci extending in a vehicle lateral direction with inclining in the vehicle rear side, a guard part 11 extending the vehicle rear side of a rear end surface of the high pressure fuel pump 4 is provided in the vehicle rear side of the high pressure fuel pump 4, a first connection base part 12 and a second connection base part 14 to which a pipe for supplying fuel to the high pressure fuel pump 4 or a pipe for discharging fuel from the high pressure fuel pump is connected are formed in the guard part between a rear end surface of the guard part 11 and the rear end surface of the high pressure fuel pump 4. Accordingly, since a rear end of the guard part 11 extending rearward further than the rear end surface of the high pressure fuel pump 4 collides with a master cylinder M arranged in rear in vehicle collision, the first connection base part 12 and the second connection base part 14 is prevented from directly colliding with the master cylinder M.
