PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a protective layer forming material by easily bringing a roller into close contact with the outside surface of a vehicle and changing the pressing force of the roller corresponding to a coating place. SOLUTION: A roller mechanism part 34 is provided on the top end part of a robot as an end effector and supports the roller 48 with a plate spring 68.
