PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a ferrule which does not have defects related to a well-known ferrule and which is especially reusable and which can be attached easily to an assembly without using a special tools and auxiliaries. SOLUTION: This ferrule 1 has an inner screw (4) in its ferrule base (3) in order to screw the ferrule directly to the sheath (9) of an optical waveguide cable, especially an optical waveguide cable equipped with a plastic optical fiber (POF) and accordingly realizes exactly fitted splicing in which there is no play between the optical waveguide cable and the ferrule 1.
