PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a koto which makes it easy to plunk for a semitone. SOLUTION: The koto is equipped with a rail type mount member (20) which is fixed to a koto board (11) and can support and move a bridge (30) toward a string (40) and the bridge (30) which is supported by the mount member (20) and can be moved toward the string (40). The bridge (35) may be equipped with a bridge leg part (36) which abuts against the koto board (11), a string contact part (37) which comes into contact with the string (41), and a turning restricting structure which enables the string contact part (37) to freely turn on the bridge leg part (36) toward the string (40).
