PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely performing a balance test and its apparatus, for a rotor which is not equipped with any journals, and has a bearing hole instead in a shape of not stretching to the whole of an axial direction. SOLUTION: A bearing mandrel 5 insertable into the bearing hole 6 of the rotor 2 is provided. The mandrel 5 is provided with a first bearing region 7 and a second bearing region 8 separated axially. To the first and second regions 7 and 8, liquid fluid is supplied from inside the bearing mandrel 5. The friction and gap between the bearing mandrel 5 and the bearing hole 6 of the rotor 2 into which the bearing mandrel 5 is inserted are absorbed with the supplied fluid. Consequently, the rotor 2 can be rotated smoothly, and unbalance of the rotor 2 can be measured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
