PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast receiver capable of efficiently acquiring attached information such as the program information of each station without giving a hindrance to the program viewing of a viewer to the utmost. SOLUTION: The digital broadcast receiver is provided with: channel selection means (1, 2 and 3) each for receiving digital broadcast and extracting a transport stream of a selected station; an attached information processing means (5) for extracting attached information from the transport stream; a storage means (11) for storing the extracted attached information; and a control means (12) for controlling the channel selection means (1, 2 and 3), the attached information processing means (5), and the storage means (12). The control means (12) confirms whether or not the storage means (11) stores the attached information of each station and when the control means (12) confirms that the attached information of each station is deficient and a current time passes by a prescribed time T before an end time t of a program viewed at present, the control means (12) controls the channel selection means (1, 2 and 3) and the attached information processing means (5) to acquire the attached information of each station.
