PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure a transfer function of an object in which data are inputted and outputted. SOLUTION: A measuring system 1 has an input signal generating means 2 for generating an input signal to be inputted into a recording/reproducing apparatus W; a transfer function computing means 3 for obtaining an output signal to be outputted from the apparatus W, and computing a transfer function of the apparatus W from the input signal obtained from the means 2 and the output signal of the apparatus W; and an output control means 4 for outputting a result of computation on a display etc. Moreover, a D/A (digital/analog) converter 5 lies between the means 2 and the apparatus W, and an A/D (analog/digital) converter 6 lies between the apparatus W and the means 3, respectively.
