PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulse width modulation amplifier capable of reducing output distortion caused by supply voltage fluctuation. SOLUTION: The pulse width modulation amplifier comprises a plurality of pairs of serial circuits each of the pairs being constituted by first switching elements 1, 11 and second switching elements 2, 12 which are respectively connected serially. One end portion of a load is commonly connected to each connection point of one of the first switching elements 1, 11 and one of the second switching elements 2, 12 in each pair of the serial circuits, and an amplified output with pulse width modulation by switching each pair of the switching elements is supplied to the load. The amplifier further comprises a drive circuit for driving switching elements so that the switching elements respectively disposed at the same positions in each of the pairs of the serial circuits are not conducted simultaneously.
